Day 1: Tashkent
We are happy to see you on Tour along Painted Sights. After meeting with the guide you will be transferred to the city and visit the Independence square of the country. It is dedicated to a victory over fascism in World War II. We will walk along the local Broadway, a walking street between independence square and Amir Timur square and see the famous Tashkent metro opened in 1977. Later on, we will visit the Chorsu Bazaar, Kukaldash Madrasah and Hast Imam complex and see few madrasahs, mosques and mausoleum. It is important to visit the Othman Quran which is the world's oldest Quran copy of the 8th century belonged to Othman Ibn Affan, the Third Caliph of the four honorable Caliphs who flourished the prophet Muhammad. After some time, Othman was killed by non-muslims approximately in the 8th century. Night is in a hotel.
Day 2: Tashkent - Samarkand (350 km, 4 hrs drive)
Today we will travel to Samarkand. Samarkand which is situated in the valley of the river Zerafshan and also it is the second largest city of Uzbekistan. Today you will have the city tour and visit the Registan square, Shakhi Zindeh, Mausoleum Guri Emir and Bibi Khanum Mosque. Registan Square is ready to attract travelers with its three unique Madrasahs dating back to 15-17th centuries. Shakhi Zindeh will impress by the large collection of mausoleums dating back to 11th-15 centuries (UNESCO World Heritage Site). Bibi Khanum Mosque was built by the order of Tamerlane for his beloved wife. Overnight is at a hotel.
Day 3: Samarkand - Urgut - Samarkand
The tour will start by driving to a small village outside of Samarkand - Urgut. This village will impress by noisy and colorful bazaar. In the second part of day, we will return to Samarkand and visit thememorial complex of Al Bukhary. Al Bukhary was an Islamic professor, who presented the hadith assembly as Sahih al Bukhari, viewed by Sunni Muslims as one of the most reliable Hadith collections. He was author of Al Adab al Mufrad books. Night is in a hotel.
Day 4: Samarkand - Gijduvan - Bukhara
In the morning, we will travel to Bukhara. We will stop over at Gijduvan village in order to visit famous private pottery workshop. Gijduvan ceramics school skills passed from generation to generation. Up to date, Gizhduvan is residence for the sixth generation of potters from Narzullayevs family which worshiped Gijduvan school ceramics all over the world. Gijduvan School of ceramics is renowned by a geometric pattern as green and blue colors succeed in decoration of products. We will back to Bukhara. Rest is in a hotel.
Day 5: Bukhara
We are glad to present the city tour in Bukhara. Visit the ancient citadel in Bukhara of the 4th century as Citadel Ark which ruled for several dynasties of Bukhara Empire. For sure you will like it on tours. Later on, we will see Samanids mausoleum and get inspiration of the real masterpiece of architecture of 9th -10th century. Afterwards visit the Chashma Ayub or Job's well and Bolo Hauz mosque where you can see forty columns built in honor of Bukhara governor Abu Fayud Khan. On the way you will see the shopping domes and visit one of the most famous madrasahs of Bukhara as Nodir Divan Begi (Lyabi House Ensemble) as well as don't pass by along Poi Kalon complex where an idea to admire three structures built in the 12th - 16th centuries: Kalon minaret, Kalon mosque and Mir Arab Madrasah. Transfer to a hotel for rest.
Day 6: Bukhara - Flight
Transfer to airport and flight home. Tour along Painted Sights is finished. We spent amazing time with you on tours.
